What Exactly is Photo Art?

Photo art is taking any photograph and turning it into a masterpiece. There are a few ways this can be done, such as using programs like Photoshop or Adobe illustrator. The results from both these programs can be spectacular from well trained users. However, there are a few problems with these programs. They are expensive, complicated, and in many cases require powerful computers to run the software. For the novice or intermediate computer user, these programs may not appear to be user friendly at all.
Today, there is good news for the novice and intermediate computer user. You can create your own photo art easily online with Photofiddle.com. Imagine just having to select one of of 50 photo art design styles (oil painting, Warhol pop art, modern art, or many others), uploading your photo, and then cropping and previewing the artwork online. Finally, you decide whether to have it delivered on a museum quality stretched canvas or as a framed commercial quality art print. As soon as you receive your stretched canvas or framed art print, it will be ready to be hung on the wall right out of the box.

Photofiddle.com is great for the majority of people who do not have the the ability to paint, sketch, to drawn.
I don't know.... it may be art for some people, like he says, people who dont have the ability to draw or...wotever.
To me, though (like you) Photo Art is ex[pression by photography....
I was a bit disapointed with the site.
I am not a photgrapher, not even computer literate, but I can use the basics of photoshop....and the site does exactly that: the filters and effects of PS....
I ll go have a deeper look, but I think anyone who has PS can do it with a click...
they print...maybe I can get them to print my scrapblogs?
My personal opinion is no, even an inexperienced photoshop user could figure out how to do this using filters. But thats just my opinion, some people may like this sort of thing.
When I think of photo art master pieces, I think of this.
Gosh, I'm lucky to get this far with my friend, the computer...(shhh..stroking her ego cos she might just get mad at me and crash...good puter...good girl...) so digital art!?!?! I have no idea on how to begin this style of art, so I personally prefer my trusted companion, the old derwent pencils for my artworks or else it's the next best thing...the airbrush! Maybe I need to learn this thing that you call 'photoart'...I might get my art finished before the turn of the century hey? ha,ha,ha!
I think my previous comment was too harsh...I actually think there is some interesting stuff being done with this software.
This is the kind of stuff I like to do
Keep making art everyone.
